Children - Frequently asked questions

At the time of divorce/separation there may be issues that you need to resolve concerning children. Issues as to where a child will live and their contact with the parent who is no longer living with the family. This can be decided either by:

  • agreement between the parties;
  • mediation or
  • court order

The welfare of the child is paramount in deciding what is the best way of dealing with the matter. We will advise you of all the relevant factors and options.

We know it is important from the outset to provide you with full information relating to the estimated costs of a case and we will discuss that in detail with you. It may be that you will qualify for Public Funding and that will be assessed at your initial appointment.
