“It's fair to say that more often that not our clients come to us having got into difficult situations and we have succeeded in getting them out of these.”

MEDIATION

No one likes going to court to resolve a dispute. It is time consuming, stressful and very expensive. You are also handing control to a Judge who may not agree with you and who can make a binding judgment against you. This can either be in respect of money which you have to pay out or something you may have to do or give up, which you really do not like. Moreover, you may also have to pay not only your legal costs but those of the opposing party.

It has long been thought that there has to be a better way. There is. It is called mediation.

Mediation is a process which allows you to tell your side of the story. It allows the other party involved to do the same. The difference is that the mediator does not decide the case for you. The mediator is a genuinely independent third party, whose role is to assist both parties in coming to an agreement with which they can be satisfied. It is a process which is particularly important if the parties wish to have a continuing personal or commercial relationship. It is also very successful with more than ¾ of all cases being successfully concluded at, or very soon after, the mediation appointment.
